How do I even express the joy of working with brands I deeply love and admire?
I first connected with Jesse Golden in 2021 while my product photography business was practically brand new. I needed products to build a portfolio with and she was so incredibly generous agreeing to collaborate with me (when at the time my work was really not that great). I found her products on Instagram and was immediately obsessed with everything the brand stands for. Women-owned, sustainable, committed to earth loving initiative like planting trees, using natural ingredients, honestly the list goes on. I have never found a brand I feel more aligned with in my own values and what I look for in products I personally invest in.
Four years later and I'm still always choosing The Golden Secrets when I want to experiment in studio, build spec work, or in this case, create sample images for my editing toolkit (The Dream Edit).
No surprise that I chose The Golden Secrets once again when I needed to produce some creative edits for The Dream Edit.
I wanted to show how the editing tools weren't just for the colourful, dreamy imagery I've become known for, but could also create rich, moody, natural aesthetics as well.
I wanted to keep things minimal and focus on the product (packaging and textures) and the editing effects.
I'd say the collaboration worked out perfectly. The rich, warm gradient backrounds, the light leaks, shadow overlays, glowy 'sunlight', sparkles, and punchy colour grade effects paired so beautifully with The Golden Secrets earthy, minimal aesthetic. It's one of my favourite projects to date.
